• ¿Hablas este idioma gracias a tu lugar de origen o porque alguien te motivó a aprenderlo?

  Spanish is my native language, and it’s always been my strongest subject since I was a kid. I’ve always loved how rich, expressive, and versatile it is, and that passion naturally led me to become a teacher. Now I get to share that love for my language with students from all over the world, and nothing makes me happier than helping them fall in love with it too! :)

• Cuéntanos de algún personaje inspirador que sea un emblema o muy representativo de la lengua que enseñas.

  One person who truly inspires me is Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. She was a brilliant Mexican writer and thinker who was far ahead of her time. She dedicated her life to learning, even when education wasn’t accessible to women. She used Spanish not just to write, but to explore deep philosophical and artistic ideas as a tool for thinking, questioning, and creating beauty. Her determination and passion for knowledge remind me why I love both learning and teaching. To me, Sor Juana represents curiosity, perseverance, and the power of language as a way to understand the world. Those are values I try to bring into my lessons every day.

• ¿Hay alguna expresión o tradición que te llame mucho la atención de la lengua que enseñas?

  I love how Spanish changes depending on the country or even the region. One of my favorite things to teach is how expressions vary, as it shows how alive and creative the language is! For example, in Mexico we say “¡Qué buena onda!” which means “That’s cool!”. It’s such a fun reminder that Spanish isn’t just one language, but a collection of cultures, voices, and ways of feeling. Every expression carries a story behind it, and that’s what makes teaching Spanish so fascinating.

• ¿Por qué sería importante hablar esta lengua, ya sea en un plano escolar, profesional o personal?

  Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world, with over 500 million speakers and growing influence in business, culture, and education. Learning it opens the door to more than 20 countries, and to a deeply expressive, human way of communicating. Speaking it can help you connect with people, travel more meaningfully, and even open new professional opportunities. But beyond that, learning Spanish gives you access to a vibrant culture, literature, and way of thinking. It’s an experience that truly expands your world! :)

• ¿Qué es lo más difícil de aprender esta lengua?

  Many students find verb conjugations and pronunciation tricky at first, especially the rolled “R”! But once they start recognizing the patterns and practicing regularly, everything begins to make sense. I always focus on helping students see the logic and flow behind the language through clear, visual explanations. That’s when learning becomes easier, more enjoyable, and much more rewarding! :)

• ¿Alguna anécdota que nos quieras contar sobre tu aprendizaje de la misma?

  One of the things I love most about teaching Spanish is that I learn something new from my students every day, not just about language, but about how people think and connect through it. Each student brings a different perspective and way of experiencing the Spanish language, and that keeps me inspired and constantly growing as a teacher. Teaching has truly made me a lifelong learner!

  I’m passionate, patient, and genuinely committed to my students’ success. I design fun, visual, and personalized lessons that help learners feel confident and motivated. My goal is to make Spanish feel alive and approachable, not just a language, but an experience. I believe learning should be enjoyable and meaningful, and I always do my best to create that environment in every class. :)
