• ¿Qué te motiva a hacer lo que haces y por qué?

  What motivates me is the opportunity and possibillity to transform people's lives, my students' lives with the work my teachers and I do. I have a larger purpose for our academy and the work we all do. We want to add to the world and help people feel free and communicate with confidence in English, which gives them more opportunities, both personally and professionally, and makes them feel great about themselves. This all leads to transformation.

• ¿Quién te inspira a profundizar tu materia? ¿Tienes algún modelo a seguir? Cuéntanos el porqué.

  My students in our academy inspire me. All of the contents of our courses are personalized to our students' needs, likes, what they're good at and what they need to improve. I want my students to have the best experience learning English and studying for the IELTS exam, so they enjoy the process, not just the results. My model to follow is Simon Sinek and other inspirational speakers who know that the secret to success is enjoying this process and starting with your "why", your purpose and why you do what you do. My "why" is to help people transform their lives and become better people through English learning. Connecting with people from around the world is another reason why people learn English and why I love teaching it. My bigger why is to make our academy help change the world through high-quality English education.

• ¿Qué aporta tu profesión/materia a la sociedad?

  English lends a lot to our society. It is the #1 language in the world, and the universal language for communication. To be able to help people like you communicate and connect with others is my top priority, and English also gives people a chance to have another persona in a new language and love another dimension of themselves as they grow and improve in expressing their true identity and self in English. As we know, English is also the language of opportunity, giving people in our society better jobs, more friends and possibly romantic partners, and access to culture and customs.

• ¿Una anécdota para contarnos de tus años como estudiante o de alguna de tus clases?

  The best anecdote I have about one of my classes is about a beginner student who recently started crying during her 1st class with me. She had so much fear to learn English because of her trauma as a middle school student. Within a few classes, she started smiling and laughing and really opening up and speaking in English. She told me by her 4th or 5th class with me that, as a result of our classes, she actually started forgetting about her bad memories associated with learning and speaking English. She was learning how to "jump over her barriers and destructive self-beliefs and limitations", and she continues to do so. This courage stood out to me and has inspired me to help students, at any English level, prove that they can get past their fears and be fluent and improve their English, no matter how old they are and how much trauma they've had with English.

• ¿Qué es lo que te hace sobresalir como profesor o profesora?

  Coaching techniques, my teaching qualifications as a real teacher from NY with my Masters in Education, and my attention to details make me stand out as a teacher. You can find native teachers anywhere online at any price, but the quality of a REAL teacher with a REAL passion and calling in life as a teacher is what makes a difference. I want my students to feel confident and that they're getting the BEST QUALITY education, seeing the results and feeling the love and ultra-personalized care that our academy puts into every class.

• ¿Qué haces en tus tiempos libres?

  I love to do yoga, explore Santiago, travel, enjoy silence, meet new people and learn new languages and cultures in my free time!
