¡Hola! Soy Víctor Manuel Ruiz Vélez, de Colombia y toco la trompeta desde los 8 años (ahora tengo 27) y me encanta ser músico, por eso decidí hacer mi licenciatura en trompeta. Antes de graduarme comencé a enseñar en diferentes niveles, desde niños hasta adultos, alcanzando metas importantes en su desarrollo musical. Me gusta jugar videojuegos, comer buena comida y divertirme con mi familia y amigos.

- I had a great trumpet lesson with Antonio today. He showed a positive attitude, stayed focused, and worked hard throughout the class. We focused on tone quality, articulation, and accuracy, and he demonstrated noticeable improvement during the lesson. ¡Genial! I was blown away by how prepared Victor was for our lesson! Even before the free lesson he went the extra mile to research the music genre I was interested in and tailored the lesson to it. I am a member of the same band that Victor plays in and occasionally conducts in. He is an amazing musician and a very musically minded person. I trust his musical playing ability and judgment.
Victor is reliable, respectful and a good person to be around. When Victor is asked to do something he gets it done efficiently and goes beyond what is asked. If Victor is given criticism he takes it and uses it to do better. He teaches from a thorough understanding of his subjects and in a means that is understandable and enjoyable.
He is a terrific musician and a wonderful trumpet player. He loves teaching and he goes well with everyone. He has experience in many different genres (from classical to popular). He understands his students’ musical wishes and he guide them in the right direction with passion, commitment, and with the appropriate pedagogy according to their level, needs, and abilities.
Victor is a great guy. Super kind and gentle, but with high expectations. He has a way of communicating with all sorts of personalities, and is an incredibly hard worker. I’ve known Victor for a while now, and there is no one I would go to faster for help on trumpet than to him.
