Acerca de Jan
I'm in Mexico City for over 3 years now. And I discovered soon that the English of most Mexicans is ... to put it blunt... terrible. That instantly made me to decide to help some friends out with English and at the same time I became volunteer at the local library for helping people with talking English. In the beginning the practicing conversations was just with 1-2 people at the same time. The conversation group has grown now to a point where my regular group is well over 10 people. I'm at the point now to split the group in 2 to be able to give people the personal attention that they need. My students are very diverse in level, some still go to school while others got a good job at a big international company. But after some weeks they all say that they feel more secure about talking in English, it might not be perfect English but they can say what they want or what they need and by that get their point across.
